Alaska Safe Riders here bringing you all-purpose vehicle safety messages thanks to the MEA Charitable Foundation and this station.

Riding with friends? Great! But spread out. Tailgating on a trail leaves no room to stop if something goes wrong ahead. Keeping distance between machines keeps dust levels down and gives everyone time to react around sharp turns and rocky sections. Give yourself space. Enjoy the view, and keep your ride safe for everyone in your group.

If you’re heading north toward Hatcher Pass, you’ll find more than 25 miles of trails weaving through alpine tundra and historic mining ruins. These trails can get busy in summer. Good spacing equals safe, fun riding for the whole crew.

You’ll find online training courses along with a host of other training tips and opportunities at Alaska_Safe_Riders_dot_o.r.g.

Ride smart. Ride safe. Wear a helmet. And tune in next week for more Alaska trail and safety tips.
