Alaska Safe Riders here bringing you all-purpose vehicle safety messages thanks to the MEA Charitable Foundation and this station.

Respect wildlife. Moose, bears, and even porcupines often share Alaska’s trails. Slow down and give them plenty of room. Never approach or feed animals from your ATV—your safety and theirs depend on it.

On the Boulder Creek Trail near Nikiski on the Kenai Peninsula, riders often spot moose browsing in the meadows or waterfowl near the streams. It’s a beautiful ride but a reminder that we’re visitors in their home. Keep your distance, keep noise down, and always carry bear spray in remote areas.

Let’s keep Alaska wild and safe for everyone. You’ll find online training courses along with a host of other training tips and opportunities at Alaska_Safe_Riders_dot_o.r.g.

Ride smart. Ride safe. Wear a helmet. And join us next week for more trail and safety tips.
