Alaska Safe Riders here bringing you all‑purpose vehicle safety messages thanks to the MEA Charitable Foundation and this station.

Hunting time is upon us. Hydrate before you ride and pack extra water. Off‑road adventure, especially when hunting on the trails takes energy, and dehydration sneaks up fast, even in cooler weather. A simple hydration pack or a couple of bottles in your gear bag can keep you going strong all day.

If you’re exploring Petersville Road Trail System near mile 114 of the Parks Highway, you’ll find more than 20 miles of abandoned mining roads and rolling tundra. It’s a long ride with few services nearby. Water and snacks are your best friends out there.

Be prepared so you can focus on the fun and success. You’ll find online training courses along with a host of other training tips and opportunities at Alaska_Safe_Riders_dot_o.r.g.

Ride smart. Ride safe. Wear a helmet. And tune in next week for more Alaska trail and safety tips.
