Alaska Safe Riders here bringing you all‑purpose vehicle safety messages thanks to the MEA Charitable Foundation and this station.

Check those trailhead signs! Many Alaska trails cross private lands, seasonal closures, or sensitive habitat. A quick read before you ride can save you a ticket, a tow, or worse—damaging protected areas we all want to enjoy for years to come.

At Caribou Hills Trail System near Homer, some routes cross mixed‑use lands where signage is crucial. Taking a moment to read posted notices will help you avoid closed areas and respect local landowners while still enjoying more than 80 miles of trails.

Take a second to know before you go.

And don’t forget, the 17th Annual Mat-Su Emergency Expo is set for Saturday, September 20th from 10am to 3pm at the Menard Sports Center where you can attend a free workshop delivered by Alaska Safe Riders instructors. Get all the details at Alaska_Safe_Riders_dot_org or Ready_dot_Mat-Sugov_dot_us.

Ride smart. Ride safe. Wear a helmet. And tune in next week for more Alaska trail and safety tips.
