Alaska Safe Riders here bringing you all‑purpose vehicle safety messages thanks to the MEA Charitable Foundation and this station.

Always secure your load. Whether it’s a cooler, camping gear, hunting supplies, or tools, loose cargo can shift, fall off, or get caught in your wheels. Strap it down tight and double‑check before you roll out. Safe cargo means a safer trail for everyone. And don’t forget to check yourself for loose straps.

Heading north toward Kings River Trail near Sutton? You’ll encounter water crossings and rocky climbs where loose gear can easily bounce free. A secure setup means less risk for you and less debris for other riders.

Take the extra minute to strap it all in before you ride out.

Remember the 17th Annual Mat-Su Emergency Preparedness Expo is set for this Saturday, September 20th from 10am to 3pm at the Menard Sports Center where you can attend a free backcountry safety workshop delivered by Alaska Safe Riders instructors. Get all the details and lots more safety tips at Ready_dot_Matsugov_dot_us or Alaska_Safe_Riders_dot_org.

Ride smart. Ride safe. Wear a helmet. And secure your load! Check back next week for more tips and tricks.
