Weekly report 9.25.2025

00:00

Alaska Safe Riders here bringing you all‑purpose vehicle safety messages thanks to the MEA Charitable Foundation and this station.

Keep your ears open. Riding with loud music or earbuds might seem fun, but it can drown out approaching riders, wildlife, or even warning shouts from your group. Stay tuned to your surroundings, not just your playlist.

Try this out on the Chikaloon‑Knik‑Nelchina Trail System, which offers over 100 miles of rugged terrain and remote stretches. Hearing an approaching machine or spotting wildlife before you get too close is critical in areas like this.

Be alert, ride aware, and make every trip end with a safe return.

This is our last report for the season. Check back the week of Thanksgiving as we start reports for the winter season. Ride smart. Ride safe. Wear a helmet. And start getting prepared for Winter!
