Weekly report 6.19.2025
Alaska Safe Riders here bringing you all-purpose vehicle safety messages thanks to the MEA Charitable Foundation and this station.
Planning a backcountry ride? Make sure your ATV is registered and your route is legal. Alaska has specific trail rules and off-limit zones. Don’t get caught off course. Respect the land, ride responsibly, and always tell someone where you’re going and when you expect to return.
If you’re heading north on the Parks Highway, check out the Petersville Road Trail System. Located near Mile 114, you’ll find more than 20 miles of trails and abandoned mining roads to explore that provide stunning views of Mount Denali on clear days, open tundra, creek crossings, wildlife viewing, and more.
Going north on the Glenn Highway? Eureka Trails between mile 128 and 132 feature more than 50 miles of interconnected trails. Great alpine riding with panoramic mountain views. This area is great for longer trips or overnight adventures.
Both of these areas offer beginner to advanced riding and hiking opportunities.
Looking to get some ATV or ROV training this summer? Alaska Safe Rider is offering ATV Institute riding classes in June here in the Mat-Su. You can get all the details at Alaska_Safe_Riders_dot.O.R.G.
Ride smart. Ride safe. Wear a helmet. And be sure to tune in next week for more trail and safety tips right here.
