Join Alaska Safe Riders for a fun, hands-on ATV Rider Course designed to help youth riders build confidence, develop safe riding habits, and gain the skills needed for a lifetime of responsible riding.
This course is designed primarily for youth riders ages 10 and older.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend and are welcome to participate when accompanying a registered youth rider. Adults may ride alongside their child as part of the learning experience.
Youth who are attending without a parent or guardian present may still participate, provided all required registration forms, waivers, and emergency contact information are completed and signed prior to the event.
Please note: This is a youth-focused course. To maximize opportunities for young riders, adults who are not accompanying a registered minor are not eligible to register for this event.

What You’ll Learn

  • Pre-ride inspections
  • Rider positioning and balance
  • Starting, stopping, and braking techniques
  • Turning and obstacle negotiation
  • Trail etiquette and responsible riding
