Please Note: This is a private school presentation and is not open to the public.
Alaska Safe Riders is heading back to school!
The legendary Mike Buck and backcountry instructor and artist Sierra Winter will be visiting Houston High School to deliver an engaging backcountry preparedness presentation for students!
From understanding the risks of Alaska’s backcountry to making smart decisions before heading out on an adventure, this presentation will introduce students to the importance of preparation, safety awareness, and responsible outdoor recreation.
Whether exploring by snowmachine, skis, snowboard, or on foot, the goal is the same: build knowledge, make informed decisions, and come home safely.
Bring Backcountry Education to Your School or Organization!
While this presentation is exclusively for Houston High School students, we’re sharing it to highlight the educational opportunities Alaska Safe Riders offers throughout our communities.
We bring backcountry safety education directly to schools, organizations, community groups, and businesses across Alaska!
Our team can tailor presentations to different audiences, helping participants better understand backcountry hazards, preparedness, responsible recreation, and the importance of making informed decisions outdoors.
