Mike teaching ATVWith summer adventures on the way, and kids ready and anxious to get out and play, now is the time to prepare them for great outdoor adventures.

If your children ride on or operate an All-Terrain-Vehicle (ATV), or other off-road vehicle, Alaska Safe Riders has a special program available thanks to support from the Alaska Community Foundation Camps Grant Initiative, administered by the Mat-Su Health Foundation, for summer safe ATV training camps. This unique opportunity provides free training for youth ages 10 and up. You don’t even need to own an ATV. Thanks to Hatcher Pass Polaris and Eagle River Polaris Arctic Cat, machines will be provided for this program.

This is a day filled with fun and adventure while learning critical safety lessons along the way. All registered students must complete the online training portion before arriving to take the driving portion. Check it out and get started here: https://atvsafety.org/atv-ecourse/

All riders who plan to drive during the riding portion of the course will need to arrive wearing long plants, long-sleeve shirt or jacket, over the ankle boots, gloves, and a DOT approved helmet. If you need assistance with a helmet, reach out  HERE! We will do our best to provide required gear.

Why should you sign your kids up for this special program? It’s about far more than just finding a good distraction for them on a summer Saturday. This course will provide lifelong skills that could save your family from the tragedy that has struck so many others. A fun day riding can turn tragic in seconds when a machine flips over, hits an obstacle, goes through the ice, or any other potential hazard. Don’t remember this summer with regret, instead get prepared by providing your children or grandchildren with a great opportunity to learn from certified trainers who know how to have fun safely.

Space is limited, SIGN UP TODAY! Before, just like summer, this special opportunity is gone.
